Spring is in full effect where I live, and I am loving it! The sun is finally shining more than the sky is gray, and I’ve been doing some much needed Spring cleaning. We’ve also done a little Spring cleaning and freshening with Geopointe. Our May release brings some handy clean up tools, an updated search UI, and some other things that make it feel shiny and new around here. Let’s take a quick tour.
Feature Preview
First up, we’re really excited to bring you a new user interface for the Data Sets Tab. This is the most used area of our map control panel. The new design is leaner, and cleaner, and gets the job done faster.
Next up we have Custom Map Markers. This has been on our to-do list for a while, and many of you have been asking for it. Well, now you will have the ability to really make your map pins look the way you want with custom colors, and icons. Not only that, but we are giving you the ability to do some bucketing of numeric fields, setting a color by a numeric range.
Another new feature that will help keep your Salesforce org clean is a button to manually launch the Geocode Cleanup operation. It’s not that sexy, but sometimes you just have to clean up the hidden data that makes your system work. We just created an easy button for that.
